About the Foundation
Since the Foundation's origination in 1997, the Board of Trustees
has diligently sought ways to use the money donated to fund projects
that will promote development for learners of all ages, encourage
employee innovation and creativity, and encourage school/community
partnerships.
Examples of such projects are:
-
Grants to district educators based on their annual applications
-
Book Fair Coupons given annually to all Kindergarten through 8th grade students to purchase a book
-
Senior Awards Night Reception honoring graduates receiving recognition
-
One-Book One Community to promote literacy in the area
-
Teachers Resource Fair to provide educators with materials to use in the classroom
-
Serving as a liaison for businesses or individuals who are willing to sponsor these funded projects is a major function of the Education Foundation.
