BOOK FAIRS

Since 1999, the Foundation has secured funds to provide coupons for all students in Kindergarten through eighth grade to purchase a book at the one of the district’s book fairs.

Beginning in 2013, our donors have also supported a high school reading incentive program which allows students to earn gift cards to Barnes and Noble by reading books above and beyond required reading in their classes.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Beginning in 2011, the Student of the Month award has been administered by the Foundation. The award recognizes students who demonstrate the district mission of “excellence through rigor, relevance and relationships.”

All students in the high school are eligible for consideration. Students are nominated by teachers and each month the guidance department and administration choose the winner from the pool of nominees.

This award is currently funded by Paxton Hardware & Rental.

SENIOR ACADEMIC AWARDS

An annual formal reception is held to recognize graduates on their various academic and athletic achievements along with presenting numerous scholarships and awards.
